A Protected Cell Company (PCC) is an insurance vehicle whereby multiple 'cells' are connected to a core, creating a single legal entity. Any protected cell created has its own distinct name or designation however, it does not constitute a legal person which is separate from the Protected Cell Company.

Sovereign Insurance Services (Europe) Cell

Sovereign Insurance Services (Europe) Cell is the fourth protected cell to be licenced in the insurance intermediaries/ distribution market. The Cell was licenced on 2nd May 2019 by the MFSA as a protected cell of Jatco Insurance Brokers PCC Ltd in terms of the Companies Act (Cell Companies Carrying on Business of Insurance) Regulations, 2010 and to carry out business as an insurance intermediary in terms of the Insurance Distribution Act (Cap. 487). This Cell is owned by Sovereign Insurance Services Ltd which is managed by Mr Neil Entwistle.

The Cell’s intention is to provide a full range of general insurance brokerage services to existing clients and to new clients.

The Cell’s clientele will be based throughout the European Union and shall focus on all classes of general insurance with particular specialisms in:

  • Bespoke personal insurance solutions for High Net Worth individuals
  • Corporate Liability programmes such as Directors and Officers, Professional Indemnity, Cyber and Crime coverage
  • Employee Benefits: Private Healthcare insurance, Death in Service, Life cover and Employee Assistance Programmes.

 

The Cell shall offer professional insurance broking services to both Private and Corporate clients seeking the solution to manage their insurance portfolio and obtain the best terms, conditions and service in the insurance market.
